On June 26, 2015, the world lost a Gentle Giant. Bill Holcomb, Sr., a man who ironically had the biggest heart in the world, passed away due to complications from a heart transplant. Bill was happy right up to the end of his life in Naples, FL. He was a constant source of fun and laughter as well as a solid rock to his friends and family. We all loved him so much; the world is a sadder place without him in it.
Bill was the beloved husband to Lynda, and the most patient father in the world to Stephani (Nacer), Bill, Jr. (Jessica), and April-Mary (Rodney). He was step-father to Jason Bloom. He was the son of John (Virginia) and the late Irene Holcomb. He was brother to Sherry (Larry) Humberson his stepsister Jennifer (Doug) Affolter and uncle to Kenny. His great joy was to be grandfather to Jordan, Ashley, Taylor, Katya, Benjamin, Sabrina, Yasmine, Oliveia, Carter, and Ella. He leaves behind many friends and extended family, including Valeri Weinberger, in Ohio, Florida, and even France and Algeria.

William served in the Army Airborne Rangers, during the Vietnam War, he was awarded The Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign, and Army Commendation Medal (1st OLC), Good Conduct Medal.
